She leaves his office leaving the
door open. Brady’s phone begins to ring as he watches her
leave the building.
BRADY: Brady here.
Sound of a voice on the other end.
BRADY: I’ll be right there.
Brady grabs his coat and heads out
the door. He looks at one of the officers on his way out and
tells them to hold all calls to him. The scene changes over
as he gets into his car.
Scene 4: Down Town Crime City
The police are on the scene of a
brutal triple homicide. The bodies of three unidentified men
are found in a dumpster in the alley of an old abandoned
warehouse. Police lines are up everywhere and officers can
be seen holding the press back as the coroners remove the
bodies. Brady walks over to Sergeant Wilcox, who is
currently the officer in charge of the investigation.
BRADY: What do we got Frank?
WILCOX: Three dead bodies, all
gunshots to the head. Time of death is roughly within the
last 24 hours as far as we can tell so far. Nothing for
identification on any of the bodies. One of my men
recognized one of the men from a bust he did last week. Says
his name was Barry Witherspoon.
BRADY: Witherspoon…Witherspoon…
Didn’t we bust him with an ounce of heroin about 2 years
back?
WILCOX: Same guy..he was out on
bail.
BRADY: Four dead bodies in less
than 72 hours. Looks like we’re going to be putting in some
overtime.
WILCOX: I already called the wife.
The camera pans out and fades out
as the officers go about their business inspecting the
scene. Cameras can be seen flashing in the distance from on
looking reporters.
Scene 5: The back room of a small
sanitation dump.
There are several men sitting in a
room waiting for a meeting to start. The men are waiting for
Joe to show up.
TMARCELLI: Is the Old Man gonna be
with Joe?
DUKE: No idea
DONAVON: I heard the cops found
those guys that did that big deal for T.
TMARCELLI: That can’t be good.
The door opens and Joe walks in
with his Boss and two other men the others know only as the
twins.
JAY DA WOP: Let’s get right to the
point and get out of here. Our little brother was clipped
for a piece of shit territory by a piece of shit cocksucker
who I want brought to me..alive! I don’t know where this
gutless cocksucker is hiding, but I want you guys to find
him.
Joe stands up and stands behind his
brother Jay. He looks at the other men in the room.
JOE: Word on the street is that the
guy behind it was Gaetano Totino. This guy is crazy. He
killed Victor to make a statement. To get our attention.
Well he got it. Our brother was also a Made Member of this
family. This is an inexcusable action and WE WILL find this
cock sucker!
JAY DA WOP: You guys find him and
bring him to me. I want this son of a bitch to suffer.
Victor didn’t deserve this…he was a good kid.
TMARCELLI: Consider it done.
The camera pans back as the men get
up from the table and leave the room. Joe and Jay are the
last to leave the room. As Joe leaves the room, he pauses
for a moment to look at a picture of Jay, Victor and Joe
hanging on the wall of the office. He looks at Victor for a
moment, then turns off the light as the scene fades out.
Scene 6: Police Department Sunday
6pm
Captain Brady is sipping his
morning coffee reading some notes and looking at crime scene
photos. He is looking over the rap sheet of Barry
Witherspoon. He is trying to figure out why the man was
found murdered and who the other two men were that were
found with him. As he studies the photos, a knock is heard
at his office door.
BRADY: Come in.
Sergeant Wilcox enters his office
and throws an envelope on his desk. Inside the envelope are
surveillance photos of one of the dead men found with
Witherspoon. The surveillance photos also show pictures of
known mob members.
BRADY: What’s this?
WILCOX: Surveillance shots.
BRADY: Well I can see that, who are
they.
WILCOX: the dead guy, his name was
Troy Bains. The guy in the picture with him is known as
Paulie Delucia. We don’t know if that is his real name or an
alias at this point but I got some guys on it.
BRADY: What you got on Delucia?
WILCOX: FBI says he is a Captain in
the Genovese Crime Family and that he has ties to the
Gomezabino brothers.
BRADY: Now we’re getting somewhere.
I am willing to bet money that these guys had something to
do with the Victor Gomezabino shooting. We need more men
working on this. This could be huge.
WILCOX: Yes Sir!
Wilcox leaves Brady’s office and
Brady begins to make phone calls as the camera fades to the
next scene.
